LU Project Coordinator Application Cover Letter

Greetings to the LU Marketing Team!

I have held a number of roles over the course of my budding career: designer, illustrator, self-publisher and distributor, and even humble studio assistant. The work I have engaged in has been very granular. However, reflecting upon my experience in these roles, it's clear to me that I am uniquely equipped to adopt the role of Project Coordinator.

Let me explain.

Though I have extensive experience in visual communication and design, elevating other creatives and strategizing for the big picture goals was a surpassingly motivating portion of the job. I was spurred to excellence as layout designer for my college newspaper because it was up to me to promote our news team's work with a professional face. In the extracurricular clubs I led in college, elevating other creatives was consistently the cornerstone of my motivations. The process of self-publishing a children's book as a freelance illustrator equipped me to understand the challenges that must be faced to take an idea from sketches to execution and distribution. I’ve been well-prepared to magnify fellow creators and strategize with distribution in mind.

Looking at the Project Coordinator role, I am excited by the prospect of being able to support a team of creatives. I also consider the position’s place in the whole of Liberty’s marketing system, and I am thrilled with the thought of playing a part in enacting the strategies of the institution.

I believe in the best of what Liberty stands for: witness borne through all-encompassing excellence, shored up with a heart for humility, servitude, and evergreen growth. Our shared belief in Liberty’s ethos is why I'm right for the job.

Let’s talk!

Cheers,
Matt
