Wizard Frog
homeowner
After striking a friendship with an individual defined by the peculiar penchant for well-learned frogs, I designed this little guy to keep her company. My inspiration was doubly informed by a deeply-unattainable yearning of the heart: to own a house. I think a frog speaking an ancient word and turning me orange may be more likely.
Froghaus
Once I had drafted the wizard frog I felt compelled to make a fitting abode. The Froghaus comes outfitted with a stove, shelving, and enough space for just one little guy to squat a while!
Old Lampwick
Lampwick is a shepherd of the hills with a love for anything furred or tailed. The Lampwicks have always made a business of candlemaking, but this one is the elder who strayed to tend the fields instead. I tried a broad stance for this one, emphasizing the human qualities of the figure and the folds of the baggy cloth.
Flotsam
Wave-wanderer. Sunset-seeker. Monastic construct of the infinite sea. Flotsam is an automaton from my friend’s fictional waterworld-sci-fi-tolkien-fantasy-mashup. He wanders the sea with any crew that will take him, wielding a trusty broadcast pylon which can be used to transmit to the horde of nanobots kept in his portable silo. This character pushed my modelling skills to the limit, and grew them greatly. Of the figures I’ve modeled, Flotsam is my favorite.
Paztromo
bust
Paztromo is the dark jester I developed to explore the assassin archetype. Certainly the concept of “entertainer-killer” has been charted out by others, but I wanted to try my hand at mixing medieval with a classic assassin. Inspired by Landsknecht historical dress and jester garb, Paztromo became one of my favorite characters in a heartbeat.
Rose Knight
The Rose knight came to me as a method to explore the possibility of modelling at all. All of my 3d sculpting work took off with this incredibly complex model, where I learned how to bounce between different modelling programs to achieve the final goal I was after.
Nubs
Made for a friend
Yar-har! ‘tis a fine day to be sailin’ for the embiggening of yer purse!
Nubs was a character my friend came up with, for which there wasn’t really a fitting model out there. Not many people think about drafting a parapalegic pirate. Go figure. I decided to be the maker on this one. Nubs was my first model ever, and after the roaring success that it was I felt encouraged to set out and take a stab at doing more 3d work.
